Teaching & Mentorship
Teaching is how I contribute back to the industry I’m part of. Supporting aspiring game developers is work I find genuinely rewarding: it keeps me curious, adaptable, and evolving with my students.
I approach teaching the same way I approach game design: by building systems that help people learn, experiment, and grow through experience. My students move through a real production pipeline, creating playable projects supported by structured in-class exercises and guided video tutorials I develop.
COURSES:
2D Game Level Design — level design principles taught through hands-on level building projects, including a top-down game, 2D platformer, and a space shooter.
Drawing for Animation and Games — foundational drawing skills in Photoshop and Illustrator focused on concept art and pre-production, including environment design, character design, storyboarding, and UI.
Intro to Games — introduction to core game development disciplines and player-focused design principles, with a game development in Twine.

Serious Games
I believe games are one of the most powerful tools to communicate complex ideas in ways other mediums cannot. During my time in academia, I worked across non-game departments to bring that potential into practice through collaborative, serious game projects.
In these collaborations, researchers and faculty contributed their expertise, while I designed interactive systems and playable experiences. Together, we created educational games that combined academic content with engaging gameplay.

Multicultural Aleppo VR
A narrative-driven historical adventure game set in 1928, exploring Aleppo’s culture and arts through interactive storytelling. My role focused on prototyping core gameplay systems and features using the XR Interaction Toolkit, as well as developing project methodology documentation.

Play with Zuri
A mobile application focused on sexual self-efficacy and accessible reproductive health education for girls of color, using interactive mini-games to make sensitive topics more approachable. My role focused on designing game concepts and prototyping them on mobile, as well as creating narrative scenarios, artwork, and animations within existing style guidelines.
